DIBRUGARH, April 26 Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad (AJYCP) members today stormed the office of the Inspector of Schools here over alleged irregularities in appointment of a teacher at Laxminath Bezbaruah Hindi School at Durgabari.

A teacher has been shown appointed on November 24, 2010 but the teacher has never appeared before the students for any class, according to AJYCP. The organisation alleged that the headmaster S N Singh had illegally appointed an outsider without receiving proper credentials from the appointee. Moreover, the students body questioned the concerned authority as to how SN Singh was acting as the headmaster although he retired on April 13 recently.

AJYCP has decided to lodge an FIR against the headmaster and also seek the intervention of the district administration into the alleged anomaly.
