Ajmal urges minority voters to oust Congress

By CORRESPONDENT

KALGACHIA, March 4 In the presence of AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal, hundreds of his supporters, organised street rallies at different places of Jania and Baghbar LACs with motorbikes and cars, blowing the bugle of the election battle scheduled to be held next month.

Attending street rallies and generating public awareness against Congress corruption, scams and misrule at Kharichala and Kalgachia on February 26, Ajmal bitterly criticised the Congress and BJP and called upon all sections of people of Jania to decimate the Congress in the coming election, and to form a transparent and corruption-free government in the State.

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress misrule, thousand crore-rupee scams, misappropriation of funds in Jania and Baghbar LACs, anti-Muslim principles, etc, the AIUDF president remarked, till Tarun Gogoi remains CM and Rockybul Hussain a minister, the plight of the minorities will never improve.

He also said that he would file a Rs 50-crore defamation suit against Rockybul for his statement where he called Ajmal a smuggler. Besides, addressing a huge public meeting in front of Ruposi block rest house at 3 pm, Ajmal attacked the Congress by saying that the party only believed in taking from the minorities, but did not give anything back in return. He urged every citizen of the State to help materialise the slogan Congress hatao, Asom bachao.

Levelling another allegation, he said that the anti-constitutional problem of D voters was created by the Congress and organisations like the APW, which is patronised by Gogoi, which has lodged a case in the SC alleging that 42 lakh Bangladeshi nationals have been included in the voters list. He questioned whether being a Muslim is an offence. However, no foreigner will be allowed to stay in the State, but harassment of any genuine Indian citizen will not be tolerated, he thundered.

While interacting with media persons at Kalgachia, he claimed that the AIUDF this time will be able to win at least 50 seats in Assam and under no circumstances, the party will come into an understanding with the Congress after the election.
