GUWAHATI, Nov 12 - The All India United Democratic Front( AIUDF) has alleged that a lot of irregularities are taking place in preparing the list of beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act in Dhubri district and has called upon the Chief Minister to order an inquiry into the matter.

In a letter to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and also to the Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri district, AIUDF chief and Lok Sabha MP Badruddin Ajmal has stated that many complaints have been received from people in South Salmara and Bilasipara areas of Dhubri district regarding such irregularities.

According to Ajmal, locals have alleged that names of many eligible families have been deliberately removed from the list of beneficiaries who will be issued cards under the scheme.

The AIUDF supremo also said that in many cases the numbers of households have been shown to be lesser than the actual case.

Ajmal said that such incidents have led to uncertainty among the locals in those areas.

The AIUDF chief has asked the Chief Minister to order an inquiry into the alleged irregularities and take corrective measures.
