GUWAHATI, Dec 5 - The Assam Institute of Management (AIM), organised the 3rd national conference on the theme �Management in the Current Scenario: Trends, Issues and Challenges� under the aegis of AIM ONGC Chair recently at its campus at Paschim Boragaon, Guwahati, a press release said.
Prof Mukulesh Barua, Director and ONGC Chair Professor, AIM, delivered the welcome address. Dr Shazeed Ahmed, Dr Karabi Goswami and Dr Sinmoy Goswami, Assistant Professors, AIM, extended their services as conveners of this conference. The conference involved a total of 31 paper presentations in six technical sessions covering diverse areas of management such as marketing, human resource, finance, operations, entrepreneurship, sustainable management practices etc. These presentations involved excellent research studies conducted by their respective presenters (researchers) in the aforementioned areas of management discipline.
Besides, there were four keynote speeches in this conference. The first such keynote speech was delivered by Shantikam Hazarika, former Director, AIM. The second keynote speech was delivered by Geetima Das Krishna, Economist and Ex-VP, Reliance Asset Management Company Limited, New Delhi. Dr Abhijit Sharma, Director, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, delivered the third keynote speech of this conference. This was followed by another keynote speech by Dr Sriparna Baruah, Faculty Member, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (11E). The knowledge and information gathered from the presentations and keynote speeches were found to be quite beneficial for professionals of both academics and industry in the field of management and allied areas.
