GUWAHATI, Aug 1 - On the first day of the new academic year of colleges under the Gauhati University today, the All Guwahati Students� Union (AGSU) staged streetplays to create awareness among the student fraternity on the evil of ragging and to ensure that the menace is resisted unitedly.
AGSU members staged streetplays at Cotton College, Handique Girls� College, B Borooah College and Guwahati Commerce College. Students apart, college teachers and guardians of the students also assisted the campaign against ragging.
�The campaign against ragging will be on and the next few days will witness such plays in other colleges of the city,� the AGSU said in a statement.
