GUWAHATI, Nov 13 - Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) today alleged that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is using those involved in the cases of secret killings for his political interest. The fear of losing power has made him �insane�, said the regional party.
Reacting to the statement made by the Chief Minister recently that linked former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta with the incidents of secret killings, the regional party today said that this was a part of the Chief Minister�s gimmick aimed at the ensuing Assembly elections in the State. It dared the Chief Minister to make public the steps his Government had taken during its about one-and-a half decade rule, to punish those involved in the incidents of secret killing.
It further alleged that during the rule of the Gogoi-led Government, incidents of the State-sponsored �Mukta Hatya� (killing in broad daylight) have become a common feature.
