AGP fast on migrants� issue

GUWAHATI, Oct 1 - The fast launched by the AGP at 9 am yesterday in protest against the Central government notification to grant entry and stay rights to the non-Muslim migrants from Bangladesh and Pakistan, who had entered Indian territory till December 31, 2014, ended at 1 pm today.

Opposition parties� meet: Eight opposition parties of the State will hold a meeting at the Lakhiram Barua Sadan here tomorrow at 11 am in protest against the Centre�s notification. The parties include AIUDF, CPI, NCP, CPI(ML), Samajwadi Party, Liberal Democratic Party and Gana Mukti Sangram Assam, besides the AGP, said the AGP in a press release.
