AGHSSASTA to agitate

TURA, June 17 - All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers� Association (AGHSSASTA) has threatened to launch an agitation if the Meghalaya Government did not heed their demand for release of pending salaries on or before June 26.

The stir threat has come after a general meeting of AGHSSASTA at Tura yesterday. �Teachers from across the Garo Hills region, who have been suffering tremendous hardships due to the issue of pending salaries has raised the demand for an agitation. Two months salaries (April-May) as well as arrears for the entire 2016-17 are still due to us,� said the Association president SB Sangma.
