GUWAHATI, Dec 5 - The opening ceremony of the IA&AD East Zone Badminton Tournament was held at the Kanaklata Indoor Stadium here today. GMC Mayor, Mrigen Sarania was the chief guest on the occasion while Rajib Sharma, former Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Pinuel Basumatary, former State Information Commissioner and Deepak Narain, Accountant General (Audit) were present as guests of honour.

Today�s results: (Men�s veteran, S/F) Bijoy Barman, AG Assam bt Dashrat Mohanti of AG Odisha 2-0 (21-3, 21-4), Rajen Singh of Principal Director of Audit, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur bt Samir Das of AG West Bengal 2-0 (21-8, 21-4).
