GUWAHATI, April 20 - The Assam Football Association (AFA) has announced the Assam team for the Junior National Football Championship for the Dr BC Roy Trophy which will be held at Bhillai, Chattishgarh from April 26 to May 5.
The team members are: Santam Basumatary, Suman Gogoi, Korela Laxmi Narayan Rao (all goal keepers), Biplob Mahanta, Dipen Moran, Danswrang Basumatary, Tsering Lama, Sanjib Musahary, Biki Tamang (all defenders), Birkwdo Daimary, Rakeb Basumatary, Migom Kuli, Rishikesh Bora, Babul Bhuyan, Soubhagya Ranjan Nayak, Najsaran Narzary (all mid fielders), Dipankar Musahary, Vishal Hazarika, Biplob Gogoi, Kishore Ranjan Gogoi (all forwards). AFC C licence holder Pinku Moni Hazarika has been appointed as coach of the team while Lakhsi Ram Boro will be the manager.
