Advani lambastsUPA govt for insensitive response

By Correspondent

ITANAGAR, Oct 20 Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and no country should put any unnecessary claim on its territory, assertively said senior BJP leader LK Advani.

He accused the UPA govt of being insensitive towards Arunachal in putting a stop on oft-repeated Chinese claims on the frontier State.

Addressing a massive public rally at Naharlagun as part of his countrywide Jan Chetna Yatra, Advani today said that the BJP would never compromise with any other country staking claim on countrys territory, especially in Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

Lambasting the successive Congress governments at the Centre for their weak foreign policy, the BJP stalwart said, China keeps on talking about Arunachal Pradesh but the government of India never showed any hesitation to stop its ill designs. It was an unanimous resolution of Parliament and we cant disregard it. They (China) took us by surprise in 1962 against something which should not have happened but it did happen.

Enough is enough, was his loud and strong message to the neighbouring country.

The Chairman of BJP Parliamentary Party said that he has already conveyed the partys stand on border issue to Chinese President Hu Jintao during his visit to New Delhi. Arunachalees are patriots and by adopting Hindi as their lingua franca, they have proven not only their adaptability but they are also a true picture of unity in diversity, he said.

In his words of advice to the Centre, the former Deputy Prime Minister said, India should be more assertive in telling China that Arunachal is part and parcel of India, adding that BJP will again raise the issue in the winter session of Parliament.

Expressing concern on current political instability in the State, he said it was due to the tug-of-war among the Congress legislators and sarcastically remarked that its very unfortunate that Arunachal is being governed with no govt at all since the last four months.

Talking about the black money stashed in Swiss Bank, Advani said if BJP comes to power, there wont be any difficulty in bringing back the money. Pointing out that the government of Switzerland had already passed a legislation called Institution of Illicit Asset Act describing Indian black money as illicit asset, he said, BJP is determined to bring back the black money amounting to Rs 25 lakh thousand crore stashed in the Swiss Bank, which according to him would help build a new India benefiting at least six lakh villages in the country. He also attributed the cause of global economic crisis being faced by the capitalist countries to black money.

He accused the Congress-led government both at the Centre and in the State for allegedly indulging in scams

after scams besides mis-governance.
