GUWAHATI, Nov 16 - The State government vide a notification issued today, has asked all concerned to ensure use of masks and social distancing during the ensuing Chhath Puja.
In view of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has asked all concerned including organisers and devotees to take suitable precautions to contain the spread of infections. Children below 10 years and adults above 65 years have been advised to stay at home.
�In case any person is found to be symptomatic, the organisers should take him or her to get tested for COVID-19 at the nearest screening centre,� the notification stated.
All deputy commissioners and superintendents of police have also been asked to maintain strict vigil and ensure adherence to COVID protocol.
