GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - In view of the rising water level in the Brahmaputra and its tributaries, the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration has urged people in the city and nearby areas not to venture out for swimming, fishing and boating in the rivers.
District administration officials said that the water level of the Brahmaputra along the city has crossed the danger mark today morning.
The district administration has already suspended ferry services in the river Brahmaputra.
