GUWAHATI, April 5 - Veteran actress Dolly Gupta passed away at a private hospital here around 3:45 pm today. She was 65.
Dolly, who made her debut in the film industry in the early 1970s with Mukti, followed it up with some notable roles in movies like Rajanigandha, Devi and Pooja. Her last movie was Rickshaw-wala.
Besides, Dolly had also acted in movies which involved icons like Bishnu Rabha (Rukmini Haran) and Phani Sarma (Siraj).
Dolly was admitted to the hospital after a cerebral stroke.
She leaves behind her husband, a son and a daughter. Her last rites were performed at Nabagraha cremation ground this evening.
