ACAUT accuses NSCN (K) of terror activities

By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, Dec 31 After the arrest of the main accused, Capt Nagaho Ayemi of NSCN-K, held responsible for hurling a bomb at a Gas Agency here on December 22, the ACAUT Nagaland has demanded that the NSCN-K publicly clarify as to why it is engaging in terror activities.

Alleging that the culprit happened to be Capt Nagaho Ayemi of NSCN-K who was threatening to explode a grenades in the business establishments which refused to pay up, the ACAUT condemned this wanton act of terror by an NSCN-K cadre upon a civilian and his business establishment.

The Media Cell of ACAUT, in a release on Sunday, said that the Naga people have noted with pain that NSCN-K had in the past exploded grenades at various places on several occasions causing death and injuries and demeaning the pride of Naga national movement for money. Naga Political Groups creating mayhem in public places by throwing grenades with a view to create maximum casualty and spread fear psychosis is alien to Naga ethos of not harming women, children and innocent people under any circumstances, it stated.

Noting that even during the height of Indo-Naga conflict in the 1950s and early 1960s, captured Indian soldiers were treated with respect, the ACAUT said it is simply unbelievable that a Naga revolutionary group could target innocent civilians with bombs as the NSCN-K is doing now.

It lauded Dimapur district administration and Dimapur police for promptly arresting the accused.

Meanwhile, the NSCN-K has reminded that any instance of NSCN/GPRN member falling prey to the vicious anti-Naga propaganda of ACAUT shall henceforth be treated with utmost seriousness and befitting action shall be initiated in concurrence to treason act.

The NSCN-K, in a release today, said the reminder has been issued to ACAUT so that any eventuality in the future may be recorded as justified from the perspective of unresolved Indo-Naga-Myanmar political issue.

The outfit said as pursued by ACAUT, Nagaho Aye has already been apprehended by security agency in connection with alleged bomb blast at a LPG godown in Dimapur.

Stating that it lauds the tenacity and zeal of ACAUT in the said operation in collaboration with Indian security agencies, the NSCN-K said similarly the ACAUT is also expected to own up any repercussion in the aftermath of such anti-NSCN manoeuvre.
