ACA to hold camp for bowlers

GUWAHATI, April 5 � Responding to the appeal of Assam Cricket Association (ACA), the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has agreed to conduct an open selection trial at the Nehru Stadium here for the bowlers of the State who have not played any tournament organised by BCCI. Confirming this, NCA manager (administration) AK Jha wrote to ACA secretary Bikash Baruah stating that the selection trial, for both pace and spin, will be conducted on May 29 and 30 for players in the age group of 17 to 22 years.

Baruah informed that the open trial will be conducted under the supervision of former India player and now NCA director (operation), bowling coach V Venkatram, BCCI Academy coach Yoginder Puri. Baruah further revealed that ACA has already intimated all its affiliated units to send maximum players from their districts for the open selection. Players have to register their names before attending the trial.
