ACA to develop infrastructure

GUWAHATI, Sept 1 - The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has undertaken the responsibility to develop and maintain three grounds, one each at Tezpur Central University, Biswanath Chariali and Furkating in Golaghat district.

In Tezpur University five turf wickets with other facilities will be developed while at Biswanath and Furkating cricket pavilions along with centre and practice turf wickets with other facilities will be built and maintained by ACA with assistance of Biswanath District Sports Association and Golaghat and Furkating District Sports Association.

It is expected that all these grounds will be match ready to host State and National level cricket matches under ACA and BCCI within the next 6 to 8 months. These cricket infrastructure will also provide standard cricket facilities for grooming young and budding cricketers, stated an ACA release.
