GUWAHATI, Aug 19 - The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has requested all its stakeholders to help the organisation in its endeavour to adopt a new constitution as directed by the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court had issued some directions in its August 9 judgement and order, for adopting a new constitution by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), as well as, by the state cricket associations. As such, the ACA being an affiliated unit of the BCCI will also have to adopt a new constitution.
The stakeholders have been requested to give their suggestions/opinions in writing to the ACA secretary on or before August 31. This exercise has been undertaken in terms of a resolution taken by Legal Advisory Committee in its meeting held on Saturday, stated a press release.
