ACA fitness camp begins

GUWAHATI, June 15 - Despite facing acute financial crisis, the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) today started the pre-season conditioning camp at their Barsapara stadium here.

Altogether 44 players including Ranji probables, U-23 and U-19 players, attended the camp on the inaugural day. ACA secretary Pradip Buragohain, vice president Debojit Saikia and assistant secretary Kamakhya Saikia were present in the brief inaugural function.

BCCI trainer Nishanta Bordoloi has been appointed as chief trainer of the camp while he will be assisted by ACA cricket academy trainer Tauhid Ali Talukdar. Kaustav Bharadwaj will assist the players as the physio.

ACA secretary Buragohain said that the camp has been organised in order to bring the players in proper shape prior to the upcoming Ranji season. He further revealed that the effort of the ACA has been lauded by several former Ranji players.
