ACA condoles Dalmiya�s death

GUWAHATI, Sept 21 - All the members of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) are deeply shocked at the sudden demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya, president, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and president, Cricket Association of Bengal.

Paying tribute to Dalmiya, the ACA president Gautam Roy in a press statement said, his sudden demise is a great loss not only to the Indian cricket but also to the game throughout the world. As an astute administrator Dalmiya led Indian cricket to a global super power. He was an administrator per excellence and led Indian cricket in many turbulent situations. It was he who piloted the BCCI in many memorable ventures. His acts and deeds are now histories. Indian cricket can never forget the contributions of Dalmiya.

He was a born administrator and left his marks in International Cricket Council. He was the first president of ICC from Asia. For his benevolent works for cricket and cricketers he earned respect and admiration from each and everybody, stated Roy.

The Assam Sepak Takraw Association secretary Bishnu Ram Nunisa also condoled the death of Dalmiya on behalf of his association.
