DOOMDOOMA, March 9 � Kailash Verma, a trader from Talap who was abducted by unidentified miscreants recently, was today rescued by Tinsukia police around 8.30 pm.
Tinsukia police conducted an operation at Kachijan Reserved Forest under Kakopathar Police Station to rescue the abducted trader.
Verma who received injuries in his hand is now being provided treatment at the Doomdooma Civil Hospital.
It may be mentioned that Verma was kidnapped by a group of four/five unidentified gunmen from his home on the evening of March 3.
His abduction has created a sense of insecurity among the business community of the locality.
