DERGAON, Nov 25 - The All Assam Students� Union�s (AASU) new chief organising secretary, Abhibartan Goswami, today said that the student body would focus on creating a proper academic ambience in the State with the help of experts.
�As the people of Assam have been extending an all-round support to the student body over the years, it is our bounden duty to do something significant for them. We will leave no stone unturned to take the State forward in the field of education and to create a proper academic environment,� Goswami said when asked about his future course of action.
Goswami was named as the new chief organising secretary of the student body at the Duliajan conference held recently.
He asserted that he would try to strengthen the organisation by bringing more and more students under one umbrella.
Earlier, he was accorded a warm felicitation at Dergaon by students and well-wishers. Goswami hails from Kuralguri, Dergaon, in Golaghat district.
The people of Dergaon have expressed satisfaction over his new role in the student organisation.
They expressed the hope that Goswami will be able to deliver the goods in the days to come.
