GUWAHATI, Jan 30 � Members of the All Assam Students� Union (AASU) today staged a demonstration across the State in protest against the fielding of Sanjay Singh as a Rajya Sabha candidate by the Congress in Assam.
The AASU, while terming the developments as insulting to the people of Assam, blamed the State Congress leadership including Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Bhubaneswar Kalita for their �shameless surrender� before Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in utter disregard to the interests of the people of the State.
