GUWAHATI, Dec 26 � The All Assam Students� Union (AASU) today said that the Tarun Gogoi Government in the State has lost the moral courage to face democratic movements.
In a release here, the AASU strongly condemned the police action against the anti-mega dam protesters in Lakhimpur and warned that the situation in the State would deteriorate if the Government continues such atrocities on innocent agitators. The AASU said that in the past also, the Government launched such atrocities against the anti-mega dam protesters and AASU members injured in such action are still undergoing treatment.
