By Staff reporter

GUWAHATI, June 3 The All Assam Students Union (AASU) today strongly criticized the Education Department and the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) for the delay in declaration of the results of the High School Leaving Certificate and High Madrassa examinations.

In a release here, the AASU said that the Chief Minister and the Education Minister failed to take any interest in the matter though the careers of lakhs of students of the State are depending on the examinations. The AASU pointed out that last year, the results were declared in May, but now the Education Minister stated that the results are likely to be announced only by June 15.

The AASU further pointed out that irregularities cropped up during the examinations this year and called upon the SEBA to ensure that the results are error-free.
