AASU, allies to visit BTAD areas

GUWAHATI, July 27 � A delegation of the All Assam Students� Union (AASU) and its ally organisations like the Assam Tribal Sangha, All Assam Tribal Youth League, Mising Mimag Kebang, All Rabha Students� Union, among others, will set out to the troubled areas of the Bodoland Territorial Administrative Districts (BTAD) in a goodwill mission.

In a joint statement here, the students� bodies appealed to the people of Kokrajhar, Dhubri and Chirang to maintain restraint at this juncture and to engage themselves for the restoration of peace and amity. They demanded of the Government immediate steps to ensure security to the life and property of the common people.
