GUWAHATI, Aug 17 - The State-level Mathematics Olympiad organised by the Assam Academy of Mathematics (AAM) will be held on September 9 from 11 am to 2 pm at 44 centres scattered across the State.
The application forms for the competition to be conducted in three categories � category I (classes v-vi), category II (classes vii-viii) and category III (classes ix-x-xi) � are already available with the centre coordinators as well as in AAM website.
The completely filled-in form along with a joining fee of Rs 100 must reach the centre coordinator on or before September 1, said an AAM press release. At least five toppers (rank holders) in each category will be felicitated with AAM awards, prizes and certificates at a centrally organised programme for celebrating Ramanujan Day on December 22.
Subject to attaining a minimum cut-off mark in each category, some competitors will be awarded certificates of merit and certificates of appreciation also, the release added.
