JORHAT, Jan 24 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in an interview told mediapersons that a person should not be kept as minister for more than three terms. To mitigate the growing dissidence among the party workers, and provide opportunity to the efficient workers, the chief minister found out this unique way. �We are thinking of making a rule in this connection�, said Gogoi. Ministers used to be ministers and party workers remain workers all the time which make some of the workers desperate, said Gogoi. Everybody in the party should get equal status and enjoy equal chance to work with their talents. �There are so many efficient workers in our party. We can provide opportunity to those and get out optimum benefit from them instead of keeping one person as minister in every term�, he added.
�I have worked a lot for the party in my earlier life and become minister only after that. But these days I have found people becoming minister without being served for the party at all�, he said, �to maintain equality we have to put restriction and give chances to the party workers who have offered remarkable contribution�.
Ahead of the ensuing Panchayat election, Gogoi�s announcement is sure to attract the workers of the party to work hard to make a position as member in the Gogoi ministry.
