92 nominations found valid in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, March 26 � As many as 92 nominations were found valid while three nominations were cancelled on scrutiny in Kokrajhar today.

According to official sources, the nomination papers of Manoj Kr Sarania (Ind) and the nomination papers of two other Independent candidates Rina Das and Kailash Das have been found defective and hence been cancelled out of 95 nominations filed on the last day of filing of nominations on March 25 for the 3rd BTC election to be held on April 8.

Meanwhile 11 candidates filed their nomination papers in Parbatjhora (ST) constituency, ten candidates in Guma (unreserved) constituency, eight candidates in Srirampur (ST), eight candidates in Jamduar (ST), six candidates in Saraibil (ST), six candidates in Kachugaon (ST), ten candidates in Fakiragram (non-ST), ten candidates in Dotma (ST), five candidates in Banargaon (ST), five candidates in Debargaon (ST), nine candidates in Baukhungri (ST) and five candidates filed nominations papers in Salakati (ST) constituency.

It may be mentioned here that the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is March 28.
