NEW DELHI, Dec 28 - Ahead of the Assembly polls in Assam, the Congress has changed district presidents of nine districts.
A formal notification issued by the party said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi has approved the names of presidents of district presidents.
While Bir Kumar Kunwar has been appointed president of Morigaon district, Selim Ui Islam has been named president of Dhubri district, Netra Sharma of Sonitpur, Abani Baruah (Dhemaji), Ajit Baruah (Golaghat), Keteki Prasad Dutta (Karimganj), Rekibuddin Ahmed (Kamrup), Basanta Das (Nalbari) and Mangal Singh Timung (Karbi Anglong).
