70 NDFB cadres still in Bdesh

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Oct 1 Though the Ranjan Daimary faction of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) has announced a unilateral cease-fire to express its desire to come for talks, at least 70 cadres of the outfit are still in Bangladesh. This fact came to light after hardcore militant Biranjay Boro, a self-styled sergeant major of the outfit, surrendered before the Border Security force (BSF).

BSF sources said that the militant group has winded up its Khagrachari camp in Bangladesh and the cadres have moved to a remote area along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.
