60-hr Dima Hasao bandh from today

HAFLONG, June 4 � The ASDC Dima Hasao district committee, ASDC Mahila Sangathan, Dimasa Students� Union and Dimasa Women Society have called for a 60-hour Dima Hasao bandh starting from 5 am tomorrow till 5 pm of June 7.

These organisations are demanding immediate release of Mohet Hojai, former Chief Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, immediate withdrawal of NIA cases against Mohet Hojai, regular payment of salaries to �normal employees� of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, immediate clearance of gratuity of all the retired �normal employees� and against the imposition of TET in Sixth Scheduled area.

Talking to this correspondent Rathindra Thaosen, president, ASDC Dima Hasao district committee said though they are not in favour of bandh but the indifferent attitude of the Governments towards the district of Dima Hasao has compelled them to launch such an agitation.
