GUWAHATI, Jan 4 � During the last 24 hours, six relief camps have been closed down in Chirang and Kokrajhar districts, and with this, the total number of relief camps has come down to 96 in the four districts � Chirang, Udalguri, Kokrajhar and Sonitpur.

A total of 1,77,84 inmates have left relief camps for their villages during this period.

As on today, approximately 1,64,790 inmates are living in 96 relief camps. In Kokrajhar, 1,38,943 inmates are in 68 relief camps; in Chirang 22,086 inmates are in 14 camps; in Udalguri 2,464 inmates are in seven relief camps; and in Sonitpur 1,297 inmates are in seven relief camps, an official release said.
