BARPETA, Jan 31 � Six persons including three of a family were killed in two separate road accidents in Barpeta district last evening.
Apurba Das, a resident of Jengrapara and an employee with the Assam Police Battalion, his wife Namita Das, two minor sons Palashjyoti and Kanmani and his sister-in-law Satyabati Koch were returning home from Barpeta Road on his motorcycle when they were hit by a truck at Silkhaguri under Gobardhana PS.
Apurba Das, his sister-in-law Satyabati and son Palashjyoti died on the spot.
In another accident a Tata mini truck hit a truck at the Simlaguri Junction on the national highway killing three persons on board the mini truck. The deceased have been identified as Rahidul Islam, Ashutosh Das and Maibulla.
