6 JuM ultras held in Chirang

GUWAHATI, Dec 5 - Chirang Police arrested six suspected Jamat-ul-Mujahideen (JuM) militants in the last 30 hours, including one Ashik alias Bura Bhai, the

main organiser and trainer of the jehadi training camp, which was busted at Daukanagar under the Dhaligaon Police Station in September this year.

Makibul Hussain alias Laskar, who was one of the main trainers in the camp, was also arrested from Krishnai in Goalpara district during the operation.

The operation, which began on December 4, was led by Chirang SP Ranjan Bhuyan.

Bura Bhai, who was also a motivator of the jehadi camp in Chirang, was in constant touch with those involved in the Burdwan blast last year. He also

facilitated the visit of Shakil of Bangladesh, one of the prime suspects of the Burdwan blast (who got killed in the blast), to Barpeta for training

purposes.

�The arrested claimed that they are part of Jamat-ul-Mujahideen,� Inspector General of Police (BTAD) LR Bishnoi told this reporter.
