BISWARATNA DR BHUPEN HAZARIKA SAMANNAY KSHETRA, Feb 2 � At least 50 books by different writers were formally released here on Friday morning.
Barnil Manas, the souvenir of the 72nd convention of the Asam Sahitya Sabha at Barpeta Road, was released by Dr Mukundakam Sarma. Giving an introduction to the souvenir, GL Agarwala, president of the reception committee, informed that this was for the first time in the history of the Asam Sahitya Sabha that a souvenir has been published without advertisement. It was sponsored by the SM Group and the reception committee has duly acknowledged their contribution.
The release of other books, composed by several writers � both veteran and new � continued for at least two hours.
