5 IOCL officials awarded

GUWAHATI, Feb 9 - Five officials of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in the Northeast were awarded at an all-India meet in New Delhi on February 7 for their remarkable works under the Central government�s domestic gas scheme Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), a press release stated.

The awards along with appreciation certificates for the year 2018-19 were presented to the winners by Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan at a function at Talkatora Stadium in the national capital.

IOCL field officers Syed Mir Mumtaz Hussain of Assam and Manish Kumar Sah of Meghalaya were awarded for their remarkable efforts in ensuring PMUY domestic gas saturation in villages under Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan, having achieved the highest number of villages saturated in Dhemaji and East Khasi Hills districts respectively.

On the other hand, IOCL field officers Dilip Talukdar and Tripti Choraria were awarded for their remarkable efforts in ensuring highest number of new connections in Udalguri and West Tripura districts respectively under the PMUY saturation in villages under Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan, while Bimal Pathak of Indian Oil AOD State Office was awarded for his remarkable efforts to improve LPG coverage in Assam while implementing PMUY.
