40 NDFB cadres join BPF

UDALGURI, April 12 - Around 40 cadres of National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) today joined the Bodoland Peoples� Front (BPF) at a function held here at Bahinigaon village near Udalguri town. They joined the regional party in the presence of BTC Chief, Hagrama Mohilary and Rihon Daimari, president of Udalguri district BPF committee and Cabinet Minister of Assam.

In this connection a meeting was organised which was presided over by Rihon Daimari and it was attended by Biswajit Daimari, MP, Charan Bodoland, MLA of Mazbat, Tridip Daimari, Speaker of BTC Assembly and Ripen Daimari.

Hailing the decision of the NDFB cadres, Mohilary said that it was a positive sign shown by the NDFB cadres which would help in bringing peace and unity in the BTAD areas. He also appealed to the cadres to work unitedly for the development of the region. In this context, the BTC Chief informed that the BTC has taken a slew of initiatives to bring development. �BTC is now on the path of growth. This is possible due to constant effort made by the BTC officials,� he said, adding that violence cannot solve any problem. He also assured full support to the cadres so that they can work for the development of the Boro people.
