UDAIPUR (TRIPURA), Aug 21 - Four children were allegedly raped by two persons in two villages under Radhakishorpur police station area in Gomati district, about 60 km from Agartala, a district police officer said.
�In a bizarre incident, three tribal children of two, six and seven years of age were raped by one Bijendra Reang.
�When they were playing in the backyard of a house at Datarambari of the district, Bijendra called them inside a house and then raped the girls repeatedly on Sunday last. When the incident happened, their parents were out for work. An FIR was filed yesterday and the accused was arrested,� police said.
Reang was today produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate where the accused claimed himself to be a minor. Court ordered a day�s judicial custody and asked the accused to be produced tomorrow with proof of age.
In another incident, a five-year old girl was allegedly raped by one Nirmal Debnath on Monday last at Hadra under the same police station. � PTI
