GUWAHATI, Oct 22 � Three youths were feared drowned in the river Brahmaputra near Panikhaiti area around 4.30 this evening. The youths are Apu Kumar Das, Deep Kalita and Bablu Sarma.
Though a rescue operation is on, the trio could not be traced till the time of filing this report.
Jawans of the National Disaster Response Force have rushed to the spot.
Police said that the youths, in a group of eight, came to visit the Ganesh temple in the area and after paying the visit, they went to take bath when the incident took place.
All the eight youths, according to police, are the residents of Mothghoria area.
�The rescue operation was suspended after dark and would resume tomorrow morning,� sources said.
