TEZPUR, April 4 � Three top NDFB(S) leaders of Sonitpur district were apprehended last night in Thane, Maharashtra, in a joint operation conducted by the Sonitpur police, Army and Maharashtra police.
They have been identified as Ashai Basumatary alias Bishu Basumatary, Purna Narzary and Swnhwar Basumatary, police said. They were involved in the December 23 carnage in Sonitpur last year, police said, adding the NDFB(S) leaders would be bought to Tezpur soon.
