While Kamal Medhi and Dharjya Konwar filed the petition jointly, Amarjyoti moved the court with a separate petition.

Meanwhile, the father of Bedanta Laskar, Molan Laskar, who himself is a former president of the KMSS, has alleged that Kamal Medhi and Amar Bezbaruah have been inciting his son to resort to self-immolation demanding release of KMSS president Akhil Gogoi.

Akhil Gogoi and five other KMSS members were arrested on Sunday morning in connection with the Pranab Boro self-immolation case. The court later granted them four days police custody.

Meanwhile, police said the investigation into the case is going on in the right direction.
