GUWAHATI, Sept 30 - A three-day North East Law Fest 2015 organised by the Gauhati University Law College witnessed a grand opening today. The festival is being organised to celebrate a hundred years of legal studies in North-east India.
A cultural rally was taken out on the occasion by different law colleges of the North-east. Altogether 12 law colleges are participating in the law fest. The rally was flagged off by Dr Ranjan Kr Kakoti, Director, Students� Welfare, Gauhati University.
In the cultural rally, Gauhati University Law College bagged the first position, while the second and third spots were won by Nalbari Law College and Nagaon Law College respectively. Singing sensation, runner- up of Indian Idol Junior (2) Nahid Afrin will perform on the concluding day of the Law Fest.
