BONGAIGAON, Oct 15 - Sensation prevails in Salbagan area of Bongaigaon town after the recovery of bodies of all the three members of a family from a room this afternoon.

The bodies have been identified as Sanjay Bose alias Babu, 47, his wife Rumpa, 26, and their three-year old daughter Sakshi.

While Sanjay was found hanging by a saree, his wife, from whose mouth blood oozed out, and daughter, whose right hand had turned blue, were found lying on the bed in a single-room house in Ward no. 25 in Salbagan of Bongaigaon town.

As per Bongshi Bakali, Rumpas father and the resident of the same locality, Sanjay had a family dispute with his elder brothers over paternal assets.

My daughter Rumpa almost regularly visited my house, which is near her husbands residence, but last evening she could not come and this afternoon I got the bad news, said Bongshi Bakali.

Sanjay, a grill mechanic, was the fifth of eight siblings. Except him, all his four brothers are well established. He was given only a single room in the second floor of a building shared by two brothers and an unmarried sister. Two married sisters and the rest of the brothers stay out of the district.

Sanjay was in debts and had to pay big amounts to several persons, and perhaps out of frustration he has taken such a drastic step, said Anima Bose, Sanjays sister-in-law, who resides on the ground floor of the building.

Today when a person came to Sanjays residence at noon to know about the progress of his iron-grill work, the person did not get any response from Sanjay despite knocking at the door of his house and making calls at his mobile phone.

Later, suspecting something wrong, local residents broke open the door and noticed the bodies in the room.

Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem after inquest by a magistrate.

It is being suspected that Sanjay had committed suicide after poisoning his wife and daughter. Only the post-mortem of the bodies would reveal the truth of this case, said Imdad Ali, Additional Superintendent of Police, Bongaigaon.
