26,030 cured cases in Manipur so far

IMPHAL, Dec 23 - With 104 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total number of cured cases in Manipur has reached 26,030, officials said here. The recovery rate of the State has risen to 93.54 per cent.

Out of the total recovered cases, 22,849 belong to the general population and the remaining 3,181 are those of Central security personnel. The newly recovered patients are from 11 COVID care facilities, including 58 who were under home isolation, stated an official release.

Meanwhile, a 76-year-old male from Imphal East expired at the RIMS due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, officials said. The State virus toll is 338.

Ninety-eight civilians and six Central Armed Police Forces personnel were confirmed positive at 14 testing facilities in the past 24 hours.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the State now stands at 27,827, while the number of current active cases is 1,459, the release added.
