2,409 Brus identified at Naisingpara camp

AIZAWL, Nov 17 - A total of 2,409 Bru tribals belonging to 408 families were identified at Naisingpara camp in Tripura on Wednesday, official sources said.

Identification of displaced Bru tribals has been conducting in six relief camps in North Tripura by Mizoram officials according to Road Map V. Of the six relief camps, identification has been completed in four relief camps � Kaskau, Khakchangpara, Hamsapara and Asapara during November 2 to 14. Identification at Naisingpara camp, the largest of six relief camps was started from Tuesday and it is expected to over by Saturday, they said.

As many as 3,619 Bru tribal have so far been identified at Naisingpara camp till Wednesday. The process of identification would be undertaken in Hazacherra, the last relief camp, on November 21. The physical repatriation was scheduled to begin from November 30, the officials said.
