24 HSLC examinees expelled in Cachar

SILCHAR, Feb 21 � As many as 24 examinees have been expelled for adopting unfair means during the HSLC examinations from three centres in Cachar district on Saturday.

Kabil Uddin Ahmed, Inspector of Schools informed that 17 students were caught red handed while cheating in the examination hall at Ballab Bhai Patel High School in Kashipur, five students from Banskandi High School and two from Sirajul Ali HS School, Borjatrapur. Ahmed said that the invigilators have been asked to keep strict vigil in the examination proceedings. �No lapse in duty will be tolerated,� Ahmed told the teachers.

It may be mentioned that a total of 17 students from four centres have been expelled from answering the first day of matriculation examination.
