SILAPATHAR, July 9 - The 22nd Assam Police (IR) Battalion, based at Likabali in Dhemaji district along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border, observed its 10th raising day at Likabali, 7 km from here, on Wednesday. The flag on the occasion was unfurled by the Commandant of the 22nd Assam Police (IR) Battalion, JK Doley, at the battalion headquarters campus.

Other programmes included the laying of wreaths at the martyrs� column, parade and sports for jawans, children and women. The prizes of the sports events were distributed by Commandant Doley and DSP Gobin Rajkonwar.

Dhemaji SP Moinul Islam Mandal and GREF official Pranab Choudhary were the guests at the raising day celebration. Singer Mohendra Hazarika, Parthana Borthakur and Tongki Pegu performed in a cultural show during the celebration.
