21 Cong MLAs oppose Tukis leadership

By Correspondent

ITANAGAR, Nov 6 - The political impasse over the leadership issue in Arunachal Pradesh has further deepened with a group of 21 Congress legislators including six former Ministers led by senior leader Kalikho Pul today openly revolting against CM Nabam Tuki.

They informed that they wouldnt attend the CLP meeting convened by Tuki on November 8, claiming any meeting called under his leadership do not carry any substance.

It was reported that a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting will be held at 4.30 pm on Sunday next at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan here and accordingly, the party leadership had asked all CLP members to attend the meeting without fail.

We clearly denounce his legitimacy as leader of Congress Legislature Party of Arunachal Pradesh. He has lost all moral credibility to lead the party in the House, the dissident MLAs said in a joint signed statement here today, adding that they have unanimously decided not to attend the CLP meeting called under the leadership of Nabam Tuki.

The delicate political situation in the State today received yet another blow with the seniormost MLA in the 60-member House from Pakke-Kessang, Kameng Dolo resigning from the twin posts of Principal Advisor to CM and Chairman of SCITeG (State Council for IT and e-Governance).

Of late, there appears to be a trust deficit between us besides ideological difference for reasons best known to you, which ultimately resulted into present state of instability in our State under your leadership, Dolo wrote in his resignation letter to the CM.
