2 more positive cases in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, May 16 - The total number of COVID-19 cases in the State rose to 91 today, with two more persons testing positive for the virus in Guwahati.

The new patients � one a handcartpuller and the other a barbar � are linked to the potato godown case, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

They have been identified as Mahendra Shah (57) and Suman Thakur (20) of Kumarpara. Both are asymptomatic and were taken to the MMCH.

Last night, three new cases were reported. One of them drove his car from Mumabi and was at the Sarusajai quarantine camp. The second was admitted at the GMCH with COVID-19 symptoms on Thursday. The third � reportedly a driver � has returned to West Bengal after giving his swab sample at the Sarusajai quarantine camp while dropping passengers.
